KTM has launched the much awaited RC twins, the KTM RC 390 and the KTM RC 200. The bikes which are fully faired versions of the duke 390 and the 200 have been in development for some time. With the launch, KTM has addressed the request of biking enthusiasts who wanted a fully faired affordable supersports bike from the company.
The bikes gets the same power-train as that of its duke siblings albeit with a taller gearing. The chassis has also been modified to support the supersport ergonomics of the bikes. Both bikes look attractive with angular side fairings, underbelly exhaust, beautiful seats and for the first time in the segment-day time running lights. KTM has emphasized that these are proper track machines unlike a Japanese 250cc bike which serves well only as a tourer (yeah I’m talking about you Mr Ceeber ). The RCs also carry over all the equipment found in the dukes including ABS on the RC 390. The bikes are surely gonna shake up the market with their lip-smacking pricing of Rs 1.60 lakh for the 200 and Rs 2.05 lakh for the 390 ex-showroom Delhi. With the arrival of the R25 not imminent and the Ninja 300 being much more expensive, the RC 390 is going to sell like hot cakes for sure.
Its a wonderful time to be a biker. Ride On.!
